Membership in GPN Alliance is open to those who:

• Meet the requirements listed above 
• Agree to comply with the organization bylaws and,
• Pay a one-time, life-time membership fee. 

GPN Alliance members who are actively practicing financial advisers pledge:

• To serve as a Fiduciary and place their clients’ interests first.
• To serve their clients as a Fee-Only adviser which means:
  • They are paid by their clients, and their clients alone, for their financial planning services.  
  • They do not receive commissions or any other form of outside compensation from others for the sale of financial products or other services to their clients.  
• Their services are Accessible.  While they may offer other services in addition to Advice-Only financial planning, they offer at least one form of Advice-Only financial planning to the public without any requirements for clients to: 
  • Meet certain minimums with regard to income, investable assets, or net worth or  
  • Commit to on-going investment management or other retainer agreement.  
• They provide holistic financial planning, complying with the ethical and practice standards of care and due diligence as set forth by their licensing board(s) or professional association(s) as applicable.

GPN Alliance member benefits include eligibility to participate in important discussions regarding strategic initiatives, the ability to vote on these initiatives, and to serve on the Alliance’s Board. 

While some members of the Garrett Planning Network will choose to also be members of the Alliance, membership in one organization does not require membership in the other.
